Having a disability shouldn't stop you going to university or college or finding a job. There are a number of organisations that can provide you with information and advice.

Disability Action in the Borough of Barnet (DabB)

This organisation has friendly trained staff who provide information and advice on a wide range of topics, including education, employment and training opportunities in Barnet.

Youth and Connexions (for anyone under the age of 25)

This service has specialist advisers who provide information and advice on careers and jobs for young people who have a disability.

Jobcentre Plus

Each local Jobcentre has a Disability Employment Advisor (DEA) who can provide specialist advice for people with a disability on how to find work or gain new skills.

After 16

This website, set up for teenagers and young people with a disability, provides specialised information about opportunities and services available after they leave school.

The National Bureau for Students with Disabilities (SKILL)

A national organisation promoting opportunities for young people and adults with any kind of disability in post-16 education, training and employment across the UK.
